Intense Israeli and U.S. Strikes Hit Iran and Lebanon

Israel and the United States have conducted widespread airstrikes against Iran and Lebanon, targeting Tehran and Kermanshah, and destroying most of Iran’s air defenses and missile launchers. The U.S. also struck the Iranian drone carrier IRIS Shahid Bagheri and previously sank an Iranian frigate off Sri Lanka. Iran retaliated with missile and drone attacks on U.S.-allied Gulf states, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait, resulting in six U.S. soldiers killed. Clashes between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon have intensified, with Israeli airstrikes around Beirut causing widespread panic and hospital evacuations. The death toll has surpassed 1,230 in Iran, over 120 in Lebanon, and more than a dozen in Israel.
