IRGC Launches 'Smart Control' Drills in Strait of Hormuz

Iran's IRGC Navy begins large-scale maritime exercises codenamed 'Smart Control of the Strait of Hormuz' in the Persian Gulf, supervised by IRGC Commander Maj. Gen. Pakpour. Ultra-fast missile-launching vessels engage targets and missiles are fired from deep within Iran, coastal positions, and Persian Gulf islands. The drill is conducted near disputed islands claimed by the UAE, in a show of force timed one day before the Geneva nuclear talks.
