US Treasury Sanctions Iranian Officials
The US Treasury's OFAC designates six Iranian officials responsible for the protest crackdown, including Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni and IRGC Intelligence chief Majid Khademi. OFAC also sanctions criminal investor Babak Zanjani for embezzling billions in oil revenue and providing financial backing for IRGC projects. The sanctions freeze all US-held assets of the designated individuals.
