Iran Formally Refuses IAEA Inspection of Bombed Nuclear Sites
Mohammad Eslami, head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, states Iran will not comply with IAEA demands to inspect nuclear sites damaged in the June war. Eslami demands the Agency first clarify whether the US-Israeli military strikes on nuclear facilities were authorized under international law, and if not, formally condemn them and establish clear procedures for 'post-war inspections.' The refusal deepens the verification crisis, leaving the IAEA unable to determine the status of Iran's enriched uranium stockpile or reconstruction activities.
