US Sanctions 29 Shadow Fleet Vessels Transporting Iranian Oil

The US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions 29 shadow fleet vessels and their management firms that have transported hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of Iranian petroleum products. The action also targets an Egyptian businessman whose companies are associated with seven of the vessels, plus several shipping companies. The designations bring the total vessels sanctioned as part of the maximum pressure campaign to over 180 since January, crippling Iran's ability to sell oil at market prices.
