Iran's Arms Supply Route to Hezbollah Remains Severed
A year after Assad's fall, Iran has failed to reestablish reliable arms supply routes to Hezbollah in Lebanon. The closure of the Syrian land corridor has forced Tehran to rely on smuggling networks, maritime shipments, and airlifts, all of which are vulnerable to Israeli interception. Washington Institute analysts note that while some small-scale smuggling continues through eastern Syria, the volume is a fraction of pre-2024 levels. Hezbollah's military capacity has been significantly degraded as a result.
