INDIA Bloc MPs Stopped From Meeting CEC, Shift Dharna to Jantar Mantar Demanding Resignation

Around 300 INDIA bloc MPs from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, led by Rahul Gandhi, were stopped by police while seeking to meet Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and staged a dharna, then moved to Jantar Mantar. Gandhi said Kumar is 'not the legitimate Election Commissioner' and reiterated the demand for his resignation. Local media reported over 100 protesters were detained; the poll body maintains SIR decisions were taken unanimously.
