High Court Stays Cancellation of JPSC and JSSC-CGL Exams
The Jharkhand High Court grants interim stays blocking the state government's cancellation orders — first on Aug 20 for the 11th–13th JPSC exams and the Food Safety Officer recruitment, then on Aug 21 for the JSSC-CGL and CDPO exams — after roughly 2,000 candidates who had already secured appointments challenge the cancellations as a due-process violation. Justice Deepak Roshan's order lets successful candidates keep their posts pending investigation, while warning that anyone later found to have benefited from fraud will still lose their job. The court sets the next hearing for Sep 15, 2026 and orders all parties to file affidavits; separately, the Supreme Court is due to hear a plea seeking a CBI probe into the recruitment-exam irregularities.
