Biden Ends Migrant Protection Protocols (Remain in Mexico)

President Biden orders the termination of the Migrant Protection Protocols on his second day in office. DHS Secretary Mayorkas issues guidance ending new MPP enrollments. However, Texas and other states sue and federal courts order the administration to restart MPP in 2021 and 2022. The Supreme Court ultimately rules in Biden v. Texas that the administration has discretion to end MPP.
