Final Vote Count Gives Tisza 141 Seats — Supermajority Grows
Hungary's election office confirmed the final tally after processing postal ballots, foreign mission votes, and transferred votes: Péter Magyar's Tisza Party secured 141 of 199 parliamentary seats, increasing its margin from the initial 138-seat result on election night. Viktor Orbán's Fidesz fell to just 52 seats, down from 106 in 2022. Magyar called the result 'an unprecedented majority, an unprecedented mandate, and at the same time, responsibility.' Hungarian assets rallied on expectations that EU funding frozen under Orbán would now be released.
