UN Security Council Extends Gang Suppression Force Mandate to March 2027

The UN Security Council voted 12-0 with three abstentions (China, Pakistan, Russia) on Resolution 2829 to extend the Gang Suppression Force for six months, through March 31, 2027, and to continue UN Support Office (UNSOH) logistics. Around 1,500 GSF troops are deployed of the 5,500 authorized.
