Civil Society Announces United Opposition Front on Protest Day 654

At the Saturday march marking the pro-European movement's 654th consecutive day, civil society representatives -- led by Zurab Tsetskhladze, father of jailed activist Zviad Tsetskhladze -- announced formation of a unified coalition and called on all opposition and civic groups to join or risk being seen as 'beneficial to the regime.' Marchers gathered at Avlabari before proceeding toward the government administration building carrying Georgian and EU flags, demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners.
