General Fusion Advances NASDAQ SPAC Listing at Stifel Boston Conference — First Pure-Play Fusion IPO Targeted Mid-2026

| Fusion Energy

General Fusion participated in Stifel's 9th Annual Boston Cross Sector 1x1 Conference on June 2–3, 2026, advancing its roadshow for a NASDAQ listing via SPAC merger with Spring Valley Acquisition Corp. III (SVAC) under proposed ticker 'GFUZ.' If completed, it would be the first pure-play publicly traded fusion energy company globally, valued at approximately $1 billion. General Fusion also confirmed participation in FusionX:Americas (June 9–11, Boston), where Chief Strategy Officer Megan Wilson will present. Founded in 2002 and based in Richmond, British Columbia, the company has raised $492 million from backers including Jeff Bezos, Temasek, and Sustainable Development Technology Canada. Its magnetized target fusion (MTF) approach uses a piston-driven liquid metal wall to compress a magnetized plasma to fusion conditions. The SPAC route provides capital market access for a company that underwent a ~25% workforce reduction in 2025 before selecting the public listing path. The roadshow follows a May 4, 2026 DOE-funded Savannah River National Laboratory study validating General Fusion's liquid metal wall tritium fuel cycle design.
