Pope Leo XIV Celebrates Open-Air Mass for Hundreds of Thousands on the Champs-Élysées

Pope Leo XIV presided over a solemn open-air Mass at Place de la Concorde and along the Champs-Élysées, with nearly 600,000 people registered to attend as part of an estimated one million visitors drawn to Paris for his four-day France visit. The Mass, secured by roughly 14,000 police, gendarmes and soldiers alongside 2,500 firefighters, coincided with a nationwide 'climate, living things, peace and social justice' mobilization drawing hundreds of organizations across France.
