Pierre Chambon, Pioneer of Molecular Biology, Dies

Pierre Chambon, French molecular biologist and co-discoverer of RNA splicing and nuclear receptors, has died. A professor at the University of Strasbourg and Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire (IGBMC), Chambon was instrumental in foundational discoveries that shaped modern genetics and pharmacology. He received numerous international honors including the Lasker Award.
