TPLF Says Drone Strike Kills Up to 13 in Hintalo Wajirat, South of Mekelle

A reported drone strike hit the May Shemet area of Freweyni Tabia, Hintalo Wajirat woreda, roughly south of Mekelle, at approximately 2:30am local time. TPLF Vice President Amanuel Assefa told AFP there was a drone strike in Hintalo district that morning. Tigray's regional Communication Bureau, via Dimtsi Weyane Television, initially reported three family members killed including a mother and a 4-year-old child, with the toll later reported rising to 13; AFP separately confirmed at least 3 wounded, including one Tigrayan fighter, at a nearby hospital, and could not independently verify the higher death toll or attribution. The Ethiopian federal government and ENDF had not responded to requests for comment at time of reporting.
