DRC Ebola Toll Reaches 8,116 Confirmed Cases, 3,924 Deaths

The DRC National Institute of Public Health reported 8,116 confirmed Bundibugyo cases and 3,924 deaths as of 30 September 2026, with 49 new cases, 23 deaths and 18 recoveries in the previous 24 hours. Cases rose by more than 2,000 over September (about 6,100 on 1 September). Africa CDC Director-General Jean Kaseya warned that continued transmission threatens neighbouring countries.
