DC Climate Week 2026 Opens with 150+ Events Focused on Clean Energy Transition

| Climate Solutions

Washington DC's second annual Climate Week (April 20–26, 2026) opened on April 20 with a keynote ceremony at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center. Over 150 events were scheduled across the capital covering clean energy transition, climate finance, carbon removal, sustainable food systems, climate tech, and resilience. A Leadership Forum was held April 21 at Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. The event brought together policymakers, investors, NGOs, scientists, and community organizers to advance US climate action amid the rollback of federal clean energy programs under the Trump administration. DC Climate Week runs concurrently with SF Climate Week (April 18–26), representing a significant mobilization of civil society climate leadership outside federal channels.
