DeepSeek and Huawei announced a partnership to develop AI software, part of wider efforts to reduce China's reliance on US chipmakers. It follows Huawei Ascend 910C chips being used for post-training of DeepSeek-V4-Pro and reports that DeepSeek may order 160,000 Ascend 950DT chips.
