Moore Threads Plans Hong Kong Listing After 147% Surge in First-Half Revenue

| China Tech

Beijing-based AI chip designer Moore Threads Technology — dubbed "China's Nvidia" — confirmed August 9-10 that it plans to pursue a Hong Kong H-share listing at an "appropriate time" to deepen its international footprint and attract R&D and management talent, Bloomberg, SCMP, and Caixin Global reported. The company said it is in talks with relevant parties but that no specifics on timing or size had been finalized. The move follows a more than 420% surge in Moore Threads' shares since its Shanghai STAR Market debut in December 2025. First-half 2026 revenue jumped 147% year-on-year to 1.74 billion yuan (~$252 million), while the company narrowed its net loss to 11.6 million yuan from 270.9 million yuan a year earlier. The planned Hong Kong offering adds Moore Threads to a wave of mainland Chinese AI-chip and hardware firms — alongside CXMT and Unitree Robotics — tapping public capital markets to fund the AI compute buildout.
