Three Moroccans Arrested for Throwing Corrosive-Liquid Bottles at Military Patrol in San Amaro

Civil Guard arrested three Moroccan nationals for hurling bottles filled with corrosive liquid at a military patrol near the San Amaro beach area; no soldiers were hit or injured. It is at least the third confirmed attack on Spanish security forces during the crisis, following the Aug 27 Benzú ambush and the Aug 28-29 stoning near the Royal Walls. The Spanish Military and Sailors Association (ATME) renewed its call for troops deployed in Ceuta to be granted 'dangerous profession' status and legal recognition as agents of authority.
