Summerland Evacuation Orders Lifted; 150 Structures Confirmed Lost

Most evacuation orders around the Bald Range fire came down as residents began returning to Summerland, though the BC Wildfire Service still classified the roughly 220 km² blaze as burning out of control. Regional officials confirmed 150 structures damaged or destroyed — about 110 in the Faulder and Meadow Valley areas and 40 in the District of Summerland.
