Mexican President Sheinbaum Says BTS Will Return to Mexico in 2027

September 24, 2026 — Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said during a joint appearance with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung at the National Palace, on the occasion of Lee's state visit to Mexico, that she expects BTS to return to the country in 2027: "Tomorrow, the group Stray Kids will perform in our country, and we are also looking forward to BTS' arrival in Mexico again in 2027." The remark followed BTS's May 2026 ARIRANG World Tour stop in Mexico City, when all seven members appeared on the National Palace balcony to roughly 50,000 fans in the Zócalo. The visit also touched on trade, technology and a proposed K-pop cultural center in Mexico. Neither BTS nor HYBE has confirmed a 2027 return, and no dates or venues have been announced.
