Los Angeles Declares 'BTS Week,' City Hall Lit Red as SoFi Stadium Run Opens

September 1, 2026 — Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and City Council members John Lee and Heather Hutt held a proclamation ceremony at City Hall on Aug 31, declaring Sept 1-8 'BTS Week,' attended by BigHit Music's Park Jong-wook (Head of Artist Management) and Han Jae-young (Management Operations Lead). City Hall was illuminated red on Sept 1 to match the color of BTS's 'Arirang' album — an official welcome gesture as the group returned to Los Angeles for the first time in nearly five years since their December 2021 'Permission to Dance on Stage' shows. The honor coincided with the opening night of BTS's four sold-out SoFi Stadium concerts (Sept 1, 2, 5, 6), the final stop of the ARIRANG World Tour's North American leg. The Sept 1 setlist included live tour debuts of 'they don't know 'bout us,' 'Merry Go Round,' 'Please,' and 'Into the Sun.'
