SWIM Completes 8th Consecutive Week on Billboard Hot 100; ARIRANG Sets All-Time K-pop Billboard 200 Top-5 Record
Billboard's May 16-dated charts (released May 11, 2026) confirm that 'SWIM' — BTS's lead single from ARIRANG — completes its eighth consecutive week on the Billboard Hot 100, cementing the all-time record for the longest Hot 100 run by a K-pop track in chart history. 'SWIM' debuted at No. 1 in late March 2026 and has sustained chart presence through sustained global streaming momentum. On the Billboard Global 200, 'SWIM' remains near the top 3, extending the record for the longest consecutive K-pop Top-3 run on that chart. ARIRANG, the group's album, simultaneously holds in the Billboard 200 Top 5 for an eighth consecutive week — the longest any K-pop album has ever maintained a Billboard 200 Top-5 presence in chart history. The album's sustained performance is driven by continued streaming activity, physical sales momentum from the ARIRANG World Tour, and strong radio support for 'SWIM.' The milestone comes as BTS is on a scheduled rest and travel day in Mexico City following the completion of three sold-out nights at Estadio GNP Seguros (May 7, 9, 10). The Las Vegas leg of the ARIRANG World Tour — six nights at Allegiant Stadium starting May 23 — is expected to deliver another significant chart impact. 49,000 equivalent album units were registered in the week ending May 7, sustaining ARIRANG's chart position. Thirteen of the album's tracks remain charting concurrently on the Billboard Global 200 — a record for any K-pop release.
