Miner Delegation Clash Near Plaza Murillo

A 20-person COB miner delegation attempted to reach the presidential palace at Plaza Murillo. Miners detonated dynamite and protesters allegedly threw Molotov cocktails; police deployed more than 3,500 officers and used tear gas. More than 5,000 trucks sat stranded on national highways, with losses estimated at $50 million per day.
