Ex-Milei Campaign Adviser Arrested in Bolivia Over Shooting of Former Partner
Argentine political consultant Fernando Cerimedo — a former digital-strategy adviser to Javier Milei's 2023 campaign who more recently advised Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz — was arrested at Viru Viru International Airport in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, while attempting to board a flight to Buenos Aires. Bolivian lawyer and former MAS congressional candidate Nadia Beller, Cerimedo's former partner, had been shot multiple times outside a hotel on August 17 by two attackers posing as delivery couriers; she survived. Bolivian prosecutors accused Cerimedo of being the intellectual author of the attack and filed charges of attempted femicide. The case has become politically charged in both countries given Cerimedo's ties to right-wing campaign networks across Latin America, including La Derecha Diario and the digital firm Numen.
