Pakistan Kills 19 Militants in Balochistan IBOs Across Shaban, Quetta West and Kech; One Soldier Martyred

Pakistan's ISPR said security forces conducted a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Balochistan between September 21-23, 2026, killing 19 militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij (TTP) and Fitna al-Hindustan networks. Thirteen militants were killed in a clearance operation in the Shaban area of Quetta district, launched after intelligence reports of militant presence; six more were killed in separate raids in Quetta West and the Jausak area of Kech district (Turbat), with weapons, ammunition and explosives recovered. Subedar Muhammad Jamil, 39, of Taunsa Sharif, was killed in action during the exchanges of fire — the operations' lone security force fatality. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces, saying 'we commend the courage and professional capabilities of the security forces for killing 19 terrorists.' ISPR said the counter-terrorism campaign under 'Azm-e-Istehkam,' approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue at full pace.
